TITIKAKA- TIWANAKU – UYUNI – POTOSI and SUCRE 13 days

Day 1. FREE TRANSFER IN.

Day 2.- LA PAZ – COPACABANA – ISLAND OF THE SUN

We leave the city of La Paz at hrs. 8:00 am enjoying the beautiful scenery of the Royal Cordillera and the lower part of Lake Titicaca to arrive to the Tiquina Strait (Cruising in boats for 20 minutes) to continue and get to Copacabana hrs. 24:00 accommodation in hotel at a height of 3.845m after lunch, we continue on a boat to sail Lake Titicaca for an hour and a half, and then dock at the southern part of the Sun Island and visit two archaeological sites like Pilkokaina and Yumani (the steps and sacred Inca fountain). Then return to Copacabana hrs. 5:30 p.m. and rest in Hotel.

Day 3.- COPACABANA – LA PAZ.

In the morning we make a city tour, visiting the beautiful Cathedral of the Virgin of Copacabana, the Indian craft market. Then we make the short walk to Calvary, altitude 4,020m, to enjoy the beautiful panoramic view of Lake Titicaca and the Bolivia and Peru frontier. Then at 1:30 pm we return to La Paz.

Day 4.- TIWANAKU TOUR – LA PAZ – UYUNI

Pick up from hotel at 08:00 am, drive across the Altiplano to the historic capital of the pre-Columbian civilization of Tiwanaku, located 72 km from La Paz. We stop at the lookout at Lloco Lloconi where we have a breathtaking view of the Cordillera Real. At Tiwanaku we visit the Lithic and Ceramic Museums as well as the Archaeological sites at Kalasasaya, Puerta del Sol, Akapana pyramid, Semi-Underground Temple and other ruins, before we return to La Paz, arriving back in the city at around 4:00 pm.

At night we take the tourist transport from La Paz to Uyuni, departing at 7:00 p.m. and we arrive the next morning at Uyuni.

Day 5.- UYUNI – SAN JUAN

The departure of Uyuni to hrs. 10:00 a.m.
Visit to the town of Colchani.
Processing and refining of salt.
Salt blocks and sale of handicrafts of salt is observed. Mountains of salt and water holes.
Visit the Salt Hotel. Incahuasi Island (Fish) and Cactus Valley.
Overnight in San Juan.

Day 6.- SAN JUAN – LAGOON

Departure from San Juan to hrs. 8:00 a.m.
Chiguana Salar panoramic view.
On the way we view the Volcano Ollague.
Laguna Cañapa.
Laguna Hedionda.
Laguna Honda.
Laguna Ch’iarkota.
Siloli desert Pampa.
El Arbol de Piedra

Overnight in Laguna Colorada Huayllajara.

Day 7.- LAGOON – UYUNI – POTOSI

Output 5:00 a.m. Laguna Colorada
is the area observed morning sun.
Visit the volcanic area Geysers 4,850m.
Salar de Chalviri.
Laguna Polkes.
Hot Springs.
Desert Dalí.
Laguna Verde.
Return to Uyuni

At night we take the tourist transport from Uyuni to Potosi, departing at 8:00 p.m. hours and after 4 hours drive we arrive at our Potosi Hotel.

Day 8.- POTOSI – MINES TOUR

Morning, on the tourist transport, we head towards the Cerro Rico of Potosi where we prepare to visit the miners. Then we start the journey, walking through the mines and tunnels of Cerro Rico, we see the work of the miners and contact with the natural world, and TIO (The Devil) who is worshiped by those who do the work in the mine, El akulliqu (ritual coca chewing), the Ch’alla (Offering to Mother Earth) and fear of the Tio are always present among miners.

Then we visit the Mint, and the famous Churches: Mestizo Baroque architecture from colonial times.
In the afternoon we move on to the city of Sucre, where we overnight in the Hotel.

Day 9.- SUCRE – CITY TOUR

On this day we start the City Tour, walking along the beautiful streets of the city of Sucre, visiting churches, and the viewpoint of Ingathering, where we have a beautiful panoramic view of the city. Then we  visit the Iglesia Recolecta and other traditional markets.

Day 10.- TREKKING – SUCRE – MARAGUA.

From Sucre we head towards the village of Chataquilla, a beautiful village where we start the trek to Chaunaca. We see the Cordillera de los Frailes and a variety of landscapes of the area, during the trek to Maragua, some 5-6 hours on the Inca Trail, through the beautiful colorful landscapes, to reach basic hostel at Maragua, where we spend the night.

Day 11.- MARAGUA – KEEL KEEL – SUCRE.

Early in the morning we depart, heading towards the dinosaur tracks of Niñumayu. After walking for 5 hours we arrive at the village of Keel Keel, where the indigenous rebel leader Tomas Katari was executed. The village is characterized by textiles and handicrafts, a very traditional place. In the afternoon we return to Sucre.

Day 12.- SUCRE – LA PAZ.

Air or Bus option.

Day 13.- RETURN.
